Compared to the meals I normally make this one is quite syn heavy. But you know them days when you just need to eat a meal that you know won’t leave you snacking before bedtime? Well today was one if those days.

SYNS ON EXTRA EASY= when sharing this between two: either 10.5 syns or 4.5 plus 1 HexB
greens and peanut stir fry with Sichuan pork
– very lean pork
– 2 tbsp crunchy peanut butter
-2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
– soy sauce
– garlic ginger chili, Chinese 5 spice, Sichuan peppercorns, star anis
– green beans, mange tout, broccoli, baby corn, bean sprouts and cabbage
Slice the pork into strips, boil for a few minutes in salted water until cooked- drain.
In a pestle and motor mash up the garlic chili ginger, spices and peppercorns and then rub into the pork, cover in cling film and leave to marinade.
Blanche the greens and set aside. Fry garlic then add the greens and stir through the peanut butter ( you can make this easier by loosening the peanut butter with a drop of water.)
In another pan stir fry (in fry light) bean spouts and shredded cabbage, add the pork to heat through. At the last inure stir through the sea same oil.
Serve both dishes with rice.
~ make sure you buy the extra lean meat. the lean meat is packaged so similarly that its easy to pick up the wrong one by mistake and if you do you are adding so many more calories that you needn’t have!
~ serve with rice or noodles.
~ use dark soy sauce for colour and light soy sauce for saltines
~ adding the marinade while the pork is hot will make the pork absorb more of the flavour.
